Either feet or hands may be submersed in a footbath of warm, salted water. When the Detox system is activated, electrical currents run through an array that is placed in the water, which releases negative and positive ions into the conductive water. When the water is in contact with the body a pathway is created between the negatively charged ions and positively ions in the body. The natural reaction is to restore the balance by movement of ions. As the water is supplied with negative ions it has a greater need for positive ions, thus it draws out the unhealthy positive ions from the pores and glands, from the feet/hands, into the water.
In addition to the removal of these harmful positive ions, the electric energy generated by the footbath interacts with reflex points and meridians (energy pathways in the body) on the feet, each of which relates to a body function or organ. The activation of these points and the changes in energy and electrical levels can influence cells and organs, resulting in the restoration of energy flow and balance, thus re-establishing our body's natural activities.
To achieve the maximum benefits of the Detox it is recommended that, at first, regular sessions are received two to three times a week until ten sessions have been achieved.
