For centuries, mankind has been fascinated with the enormous variety of rocks, crystals, and stones that cover our planet Earth. It is easy to be captivated by their beauty in structure, color, and texture, and also for their invaluable properties. Many people look at crystals and minerals in monetary value, such as gold, diamonds, quartz, precious gemstone, etc. However, more recently, in today's society we have begun to become increasingly aware of the healing and spiritual properties inherent in minerals, as the ancient civilizations were in the past. Minerals, stones and crystals themselves are becoming recognized as powerful supportive tools to the body's natural ability to heal, and are being combined with sound to amplify their powerful properties.
Elements form crystals when they combine with water and are then placed under various conditions of pressure, temperature, and energy, resulting in ordered and unified structures. The individual properties of the elements together with the crystalline structure grant the crystal properties, which, when utilized, can help to aid the body, mind, and spirit. Quartz, for example, can amplify, transform, store, focus, and transfer energy which is why they are used in microphones, computers, and laser tools. These characteristics affect us since much of our body contains crystalline structures and consists of 80% water, thereby allowing an ease of interaction and energy transfer.
Crystals work to open up energy pathways, dispel negative energy, improve concentration, and improve blood circulation, to name a few. Some even work with the energy of our thoughts, changing them to more harmonic forms, due to the crystalline structure, which in turn may alter brainwave frequencies and thus alterations in consciousness. Although each crystal has different properties and works with individuals on different levels and in different ways, they all have the potential to heal and amplify the life force energy inherent within each of us.
We are surrounded by sounds, everywhere in the world around us. To hear the sounds around us, each object/person resonates at a frequency which determines the pitch of the noise. These traveling waves reach our ears and cause our eardrums to vibrate, and eventually these vibrations are registered as distinct sounds within the brain, allowing us to recognize speech, a parents tone, orchestral pieces, mechanical equipment or the animals and nature around us.
Loud enough noise created next to a glass of standing water will cause ripples to form as each wave of energy vibrates with each beat. Since our bodies are made up of mostly water, it is easy to imagine that each molecule is vibrating the same way with any sound that we hear. Some of our energy centers (Chakras) are associated with different notes that enables them to respond to certain frequencies/vibrations. Many people can relate to this when they listen to music that seems to calm their minds and resonate with their bodies at a 'feel good' level.
Naturally our bodies have a resonant frequency that is in tune with the rest of the body. When one part is out of tune, there is often illness and/or disease, usually resulting in a lower vibrational energy. Much like Quantum-Touch™, the low vibrations can be altered using fields of higher energy levels, or subjecting the body to different vibrations, such as through music/sound. This is one reason why Quantum practitioners may use chants or hum a certain note or tune; to raise the vibrational energy even more by resonating their own chakras and that of the person they are assisting.
It is not a new concept to use sound to help heal and relax the body, and bring it back into harmony. Chants, chimes, bells, and singing bowls have all been and continue to be useful methods to help heal and rebalance the body. Of these, singing Bowls are becoming more widely used as tools to help the body's healing process. These bowls come in a variety of sizes and material, creating notes, each resonating with different aspects of the body, helping to raise the frequency and realign/open the energy pathways once more. During such a session, a mallet is rubbed around the rim of the bowl, and much like rubbing a wet finger around the rim of a crystal glass, which creates a beautiful melody, the bowl begins to sing, resonating within the air and the body even after the mallet has ceased moving. As explained above, the sounds resonate with the body, raising frequency levels, which can help to improve health both mentally and physically.
